Coach Michael O’Brien

Coach Michael O’Brien (Coach OB) is entering his 36th year in educational athletics. Coach OB spent 27 years coaching, 13 years teaching History and 8 years as an Athletic Director, vice Principal and Principal in Massachusetts, before relocating to SW Florida in April 2020. Coach OB has a Master’s Degree in Education/Athletic Administration from Endicott College. He is also a Registered Athletic Administrator (RAA) with the NIAAA.

Coach OB has coached seven different sports during his tenure on the sidelines. Coach O’Brien is proud of winning the 2018 Massachusetts D IV Girls Basketball State Championship and has 356 combined varsity wins. He has the most basketball wins (269) in the history of his previous school. Coach OB enthusiastically states, “Oasis is a great place to be!"

Assistant Athletic Director

Jack Concannon

Mr. Concannon is a Social Studies teacher at Oasis High School and is in his second year serving as the Assistant Athletic Director. He teaches American Government and Economics. Mr. Concannon has four years of teaching experience, including three years at Oasis High School. He was named the 2025 Lighthouse Teacher of the Year and the 2024 Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year in recognition of his dedication to students and the school.
